The cheapest erectile dysfunction (ED) pills are generic Viagra, called.
The term "generic" refers to the active ingredient of a medicine or drug rather than to the advertised brand name under which the medicine is sold. It is a term referring to any drug marketed under its chemical name without advertising.
Pfizer made the originaltablet that is often referred to as the “blue pill”.The patent expired in 2013 which then allowed other pharmaceutical manufactures to make a generic version under the name of the active ingredient called Sildenafil. They are exactly the same medically and perform in the same way with the same side-effects.
As with most branded products, Viagra is sold at a higher price, therefore the generic tablets sold asare much cheaper.
Medically there is no difference between a generic medicine and the branded medicine, as they both have the same active ingredients to make them perform in the same way. They only differ in the “bulking” agents used to fill the tablet as the amount of active ingredient required, in this case Sildenafil, is very small. This makes the tablets bigger and easier to handle.
The main difference between generic andbranded named prescription medicines is cost with generics being much cheaper
Every pharmacy can choose what price they sell at, as there are no fixed prices. It will depend on what price the pharmacy can buy the drug from the wholesaler and the cost of their own overheads. They can they decide what mark-up they require and some pharmacies choose to sell some products at higher prices.
At Webmed pharmacy we aim to keep our prices as low as possible, without compromising the quality of service, as we arethe only online pharmacy to offercourier guaranteed next working day as standard
We offer a very fast, confidential and discreet service that isby the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
A large proportion of our sales are made up of returning customers as they have been delighted with our service.
When you choose to buy any prescription medication online, you must first of check that the pharmacy is with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
All pharmacies using a UK General Medical Council, to prescribe their medicines will also be registered with the UK government Agency the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Those online pharmacies who are not registered with the CQC either use pharmacist prescribers or foreign doctors.
You will then know and have the confidence that all the brands being offered are genuine and will work in the same way. All the pharmaceutical companies are inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to ensure they manufacturer the drugs to the same quality standard. This means that the key ingredient that is referred to as the “active” ingredient is exactly the same in all brands.
The other inactive ingredients that make up the bulk of the tablet are called “excipients” and can vary.
For those people who are allergic to or have an intolerance to lactose, then the is ideal for you as it is lactose free. You can check the additional excipients on the patient information leaflet supplied with your tablets.
Although medically all the generic tablets are identical, they may look different as they can vary in colour, shape and size due to the varying excipients.
The patent for, owned by Pfizer, expired in July 2013, which then allowed other pharmaceutical companies to produce generic. There are a number of companies now manufacturing which include Accord, Ajanta, Dr Reddy’s, Mylan, Teva, Torrent and Zentiva. Even Pfizer make a that they sell cheaper than Viagra although generally more expensive than the equivalent generic brands.

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Pfizer Inc. today announced it has agreed to pay £1 million to settle claims that it has received more than $1 billion in sales for erectile dysfunction drug Viagra, which is the active ingredient in the prescription drug Viagra, which has been the subject of an investigation by a US Food and Drug Administration body that has alleged that Pfizer's own drug has been linked to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.
"This agreement represents a significant milestone in Pfizer's effort to address erectile dysfunction, and in the process will further strengthen Pfizer's commitment to ensure the safety and efficacy of Viagra," said Michael E. Johnson, Pfizer's chief executive officer. "This agreement will enable Pfizer to continue to focus on the health and wellbeing of its patients and to develop new product formulations that are safe and effective for the treatment of erectile dysfunction."
The settlement comes just months after the company announced it was withdrawing its most recent warning, which was based on a report that Pfizer has received from a US advisory committee in connection with a "serious increase in the incidence of coronary heart disease". The US advisory committee's investigation into Viagra's link to heart attacks and strokes has revealed that Pfizer has been in discussions with the US Food and Drug Administration with the potential for increased heart risks, and the company has not yet received any warning about its safety.
The announcement marks Pfizer's first major legal victory in its relationship with the US Food and Drug Administration, which has been investigating claims that the company has been receiving more than $1 billion in sales for erectile dysfunction drugs.
This settlement was made in part to settle allegations that Pfizer knew or should have known about the serious risk of heart attacks or strokes associated with Viagra, the company's own medicines, as well as Pfizer's own drug, and that the company failed to warn patients about the increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Pfizer has also agreed to pay $1.4 million to settle the investigations related to a report by the FDA that showed that it had received more than $1 billion in sales for Viagra, and the company is seeking to extend the agreement to include the reports in a new related product called Cialis.
In a statement, Pfizer said: "The U. S. Food and Drug Administration is aware of the increased risk of heart attacks and strokes in men taking sildenafil, and we are committed to holding pharmaceutical companies responsible for any adverse events or safety concerns in connection with such events.
"We are pleased to support Pfizer in its ongoing effort to develop a safe and effective treatment for erectile dysfunction. We are committed to providing Viagra to its customers in a way that minimizes the risk of cardiovascular events and deaths."
The settlement is the first to resolve allegations that Pfizer is illegally promoting or otherwise marketing its own products for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, including Cialis. The settlement also resolves allegations that Pfizer has engaged in unlawful promotion and sales of Viagra to healthcare professionals and patients through its own website, Viagra.com. The company is seeking to extend the agreement to include Cialis to the same extent Pfizer had previously.
The agreement is the first settlement to resolve the allegations raised by the US federal qui tam, or whistleblower, against Pfizer. The company has not yet received any warning about the increased risk of heart attacks or strokes associated with Viagra, and the company is seeking to extend the agreement to include the reports in a new related product called Cialis.

SUNLINE, MA, USA, June 14, 2014
“The ‘pink pill’ (Sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra) is a prescription drug,” says Professor John C. Smith. “It is the first drug for men with erectile dysfunction, which is the inability to achieve and maintain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. This is the first prescription drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and is one of the first products to improve the quality and efficacy of the sexual intercourse.”
Sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra were developed by Eli Lilly and the US government in collaboration with Pfizer. The drug has been extensively marketed in the US since 2000 and is approved for use in 100% of men with erectile dysfunction.
The US Food and Drug Administration approved it for use in more than 40 countries and has been widely prescribed by physicians in the US and internationally.
The use of sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra has increased over the years and now exceeds $4 billion annually worldwide. Sildenafil and Revatio are effective at treating erectile dysfunction in 100% of patients. They are also used in 70% of cases of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
Sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra are used in the following:
- In pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), the blood flow is restricted and this results in low blood pressure. Patients with PAH will experience a sudden loss of vision due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. The first-line treatment for PAH is sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra.
- In the management of erectile dysfunction, patients with PAH may take sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra, either daily or as a combined treatment. For pulmonary arterial hypertension, there is no daily therapy, it is taken on an as-needed basis only.
- In the treatment of ED, sildenafil, Revatio and Viagra are used in combination.
